Posted: October 25, 2012 / in: Breaking News, Featured, News / No comments

Andhra Pradesh Endowments Department has banned non-religious Advertisements at the premises of Temple a state. The Temple committees and local politicians use the temple premises to greet the devotees by displaying gaudy banners using temple funds. The government has taken this step to curb the advertisements which are rampant in many noted shrines in Andhra Pradesh.

The Endowments Department took the decision seriously and keeps an eye on the misuse of temple funds on the lines of advertisements. Especially at Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secundrabad, Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada and Brahmarambha Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam, many people witness the banners and hoardings of local politicians and temple committee members.
