Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa greeted supporters waving flags outside the White House after concluding a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. The U.S. Treasury said it would renew a waiver on sanctions under the Caesar Act for an additional 180 days — the maximum extension allowed without approval from Congress.
