A tornado touched down in a residential area outside Houston, damaging more than 100 homes, authorities said Monday. No injuries were reported.
Photos and drone video posted to Facebook by the Harris County Precinct 3 constable showed roofs stripped of shingles and debris blocking streets in the Memorial Northwest neighborhood, the office of Constable Mark Herman said. Video and images captured residents cleaning up, boarding or covering blown-out windows and surveying wreckage.

The Houston Fire Department deployed five members of its saw team to cut up and clear fallen trees, spokesperson Rustin Rawlings said. The National Weather Service had issued a tornado watch for southeastern Texas, including Houston, through 1 a.m. Tuesday and also warned of severe thunderstorms in parts of the region.
