Wyze Launches Redesigned Ultra BodyScan Plus Smart Scale

Wyze Unveils Ultra BodyScan Plus

Wyze has officially launched its upgraded smart scale, the Ultra BodyScan Plus. This new version builds on the original model introduced nearly a year ago, enhancing its functionality and user-friendliness.

Innovative Design Changes

One of the standout features of the Ultra BodyScan Plus is its redesigned 4.3-inch customizable color screen. Moving the display to the handle allows users to view their metrics at eye level, making it easier to read during use.

Priced at $149, the Ultra BodyScan Plus comes in both black and white options, which is a $30 increase from the original Ultra BodyScan model priced at $119.98.

Comprehensive Health Metrics

In addition to a more user-friendly screen, Wyze has expanded the health metrics that the scale can track. The previous model could measure 13 body composition metrics, including weight and BMI. However, the new model offers over 50 metrics, such as visceral fat levels, protein content, and basal metabolic rate (BMR), which indicates the calories needed to maintain basic bodily functions.

These comprehensive metrics are gathered using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), providing insights into various health indicators across different parts of the body.

Seamless Data Syncing

Unlike some competitors, such as Withings, which requires users to pay an annual fee of $99.50 to access their health data, all features of the Ultra BodyScan Plus can be utilized without any subscription costs. Users can easily sync their data with devices like Apple Health, Google Health, and Android's Health Connect using Bluetooth or through their home's Wi-Fi network for cloud access.

User-Friendly for the Whole Family

The Ultra BodyScan Plus is designed to accommodate up to eight registered users, each capable of storing their health metrics. Additionally, the scale allows an unlimited number of guests to take single measurements without creating an account.

For those needing to weigh children, pets, or luggage, the scale includes a special mode that simplifies this process, albeit without the advanced breakdown of health metrics.

Availability: The Wyze Ultra BodyScan Plus is available for purchase through the Wyze online store.
